    Hand Crafted Yokuts Native American Coiled Polychrome Bottleneck Basket Created from Gathered Native American Plants,
    Circa 1900 – 1930
    5 3/4 inches high x 7 inches in maximum diameter
    Condition; Very Good, This basket shows light wear and is a little dusty.
    Description: This basket shows beautiful form and patination with even stitchery and excellent craftsmanship and construction The design may indicate a gathering of snakes, perhaps a garter snake political caucus.
    The Yokuts homeland was in the California Central Valley and western Sierra foothills from Stockton to south of Visalia.
